If i created my own belt and had to choose eight symbols on it the first symbol would be a cross to show my faith in God. The second one would be a butterfly because when i see one i think of hope. The third one is a puppy because i just got a new teacup yorkie for christmas. The fourth symbol is a 4 leaf clover because that is a sign of luck. A heart is the fifth symbol because there is always room for love in peoples lives. The sixth symbol is a map of the world because i have a dream to travel and visit every country to see all the different variety of cultures. A maryland flag would be the seventh symbol because i will always be a fan of our state's sports. The last symbol would be a sun because i love the warm weather and in the summer is when I'm happiest.

Chris’ Relation
Jack London
“White Fang”
“There was a hint of laughter, but of a laughter more terrible than any sadness”. (Pg 9, ch. 2)
I think Chris can relate to this because of what we saw in a video that Chris’ childhood was very hard for him, and it was mostly all a lie considering what his father did to him and his sister. So I think Chris didn’t have many good laughing and happy moments.

Leo Tolstoy
“Family Happiness”
“I wanted excitement and danger and the chance to sacrifice myself for my love.” (pg 15, Ch. 3)
This relates to Chris so perfectly considering he is telling us throughout the book how much he loved the outdoors and loved being in nature and he can really find himself when he is out there.
Henry David Thoreau
“Life in the Woods”
“Though the results were bodily weakness, yet perhaps no one can say that the consequences were to be regretted”
Chris relates to this because he did die for his passion and he tried to stay out there and survive with just common sense and the work of his hands. I think if Chris could give his opinion now, I don’t think he would regret any of his decision while he was out there.

One of my most favorite quotes is “You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it” (by unknown) I personally love this quote because of how much things everyone goes through and everyone goes through rough patches in their life and everyone has their own kind of “strong” aspect they like to think of themselves as. I am very strong emotionally because I don’t let my emotions get the best of me. I think Chris was given his tough life because of his childhood past of a cheating and abusive father, and just watching his family fall apart while his dad lives the double life no one knew about.

Odyssey
Odyssey is an epic journey. I plan to take one before college during my senior summer. For graduation i want to get a volts wagon bus to take with my friend along the boarder of the united states. We would start here (bel Air, Md) our first stop would be at myrtle beach i would stop here because this is where i would want to live one day. The next stop we would take is to orlando florida to stay in disney and ride on the roller coasters. Once we are done having fun there Miami florida is where we can go to the beach and stay for a week or 2. We could go to tampa florida next to see my friend who moved down there last year. The next stop is New Orleans so we can see the great party town and nice southern people. After that we could go to Dallas Texas to vista my grandfather. From there we would go to our final destination Malibu California. We would stay there for a few weeks and soak up the sun on the beach from sun rise to sun set. We could try to find some celebrities in los angelos. All of these places are really warm in the summer so we would have to pack bathing suits, beach towels, shorts, tank tops, and sun block. This odyssey will be an experience of a life time.
